Flow an exhibition by Rory Macshane

Art

Anteros Arts Foundation

June 14, 2019 from 09:00 to 17:00

Opening Night Thursday 13th June 6pm-8pm

An Exhibition of paintings, prints, drawings and pottery by Rory McShane inspired by observing various types of flow in nature, at different scales and in different contexts. Rory is fascinated by the flow of cloud forms across the globe and this has led to paintings and ceramics originating from satellite images of weather systems. “Natural processes are often in a constant state of change and seemingly chaotic flux but change is balanced by a sense of return. However, we may have recently nudged this order out of balance. Part of the process of restoration could be to re-find and celebrate again our affinity with the natural rhythms of the world.” Rory will be showing work in both galleries at Anteros, inspired by the movement of water in streams and harbours, flocks of birds and fish, weather patterns, and simple ideas such as guiding a line from one point to another in different ways.
