After 25 years Richard Alston Dance celebrates their last season with Final Edition, a richly diverse mix of dance and music celebrating the company’s unflagging creativity.
The tour includes two brand new works by Richard Alston and by Martin Lawrance, alongside classic works from the Company’s history.
Shine On is inspired by Britten and Auden’s song cycle On This Island, performed with a live singer Katherine McIndoe and pianist Jason Ridgeway. Voices and Light Footsteps is a sensuously expressive piece influenced by the music of Monteverdi, the genius of Baroque. A Far Cry by Martin Lawrance is an impassioned piece set to music by Edward Elgar.
