Interpreters

Formed in early 2004 by Will Birkbeck and Mike Prada, The Interpreters are a great band of young things from Norwich who specialise in mature guitar and lyric based indie/pop. Their tender years belie their blatant song writing talent. Their catchy tunes, intelligent harmonies and engaging stage presence reference a whole range of influences that come together to make an exciting and accessible sound. With all this in mind (together with their rivaled bass and drums fusion drive - Tom Ayers and Duncan Baker), they are definitely ‘ones to watch’! Culminating in a support slot with The Rascals, fronted by Last Shadow Puppets’ Miles Kane, 2008 has seen The Interpreters sign to All Sorted!? Records, support The Holloways, The Frank Turner Band, The Sugars and many other top names. Following the joy ride of 2008, the band are now taking things back to the studio, writing new material and recording their debut album, set to be released early 2009.'Intelligent song writing - there’s a real maturity to the Interpreters sound.''Them lads are quality' – The Rascals
