The series, created and produced by Alan Ball, famous for writing 'American Beauty' and Six Feet Under, follows a barmaid in the fictional town of Bon Temps, whose community is turned upside down as two women are found murdered.
Based on a series of novels by Charlaine Harris, True Blood is a vamped up "Twilight for Adults" and each episode is injected with feverish horror, sex and romance.
