Big Sunday Join us on the first Sunday of each month to look, explore, draw and more with a warm welcome from our Learning Team. Dive into creative drop-in activities at the Sainsbury Centre, aimed at families, young people and adults. Family sessions Drop in 10.30am-3.00pm Join us for a 20-30-minute creative session specifically tailored to families and open to everyone! Meet an artwork and make an artwork in this fun workshop.
Unwind and engage with art; one of our Associate Artists will be there to help guide you. Stay for as long as you would like. Community sessions Drop in 11.00am-12.3pm For adults and young people over 15. Join us in our calm, contemplative Community Space and take part in a different mindful, collaborative activity each month with our associate artists.
These activities are led by artists who have experience working with young adults who might need extra support. Dates for your diary 7 June 2026 Outdoor Explore family session Jess Morgan will help us to create wiggly shapes and lines inspired by drawings in the newly-opened Play Power exhibition. In case of bad weather, the activities will move indoors. 5 July 2026 Outdoor Explore family session Join Rose Feather in a playful lets-pretend exploration of the artworks living in the Sculpture Park. In case of bad weather, the activities will move indoors. 2 August 2026 Outdoor Explore family session Create fun kinetic helter-skelter marble-run artworks inspired by Tatlin’s big red tower in our Sculpture Park, with Francesca Cant.
