Castle + Commoner, Pilot The Dune

CASTLE is an American heavy/doom metal band formed in 2009 in San Francisco, California. Known for their heavy, traditional doom sound mixed with 70s and 80s metal influences and occult themes, the group consists of core members Elizabeth Blackwell (vocals, bass) and Mat Davis (guitar, vocals), frequently performing as a power trio with various touring drummers.
The band made an impact early in their career when their second album, Blacklands (2012), was nominated for a Canadian Juno Award for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year.

Renowned for their relentless touring schedule, CASTLE has played over 700 shows globally across the US, Canada, Europe, and Japan.
Their latest album, Carrie Chains, was released on the 4th of September 2026 via Hammerheart Records. It shows CASTLE at new heights of constructing their trademark serpentine riffs into powerful anthemic hooks while the whiskey throated vocals of powerhouse singer Liz Blackwell fill every spooky nook and cranny to intoxicating effect.

Taking influence from the 70s/80s riff-heavy maestros like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Mercyful Fate and keeping a stripped-down attack sound, CASTLE channel that classic heavy-metal DNA into something leaner, meaner, and unmistakably their own.
COMMONERCommoner is a heavy doom-crust band based primarily out of Norwich and London. Formed in 2021, the three-piece outfit describes their raw, anti-authoritarian sound as “downtrodden crust doom rock,” delivering a gnarly combination of crushing stoner-doom riffs, hardcore punk energy, and D-beat chaos.The band consists of Mik (guitar/vocals), Simon (bass/vocals), and Alex (drums), bringing together decades of musical experience from underground UK punk and hardcore mainstays like Coitus, The Restarts, and Left For Dead.

Their sophomore album, A Commoner’s Quest, was released in early 2024 to critical acclaim from metal outlets like Metal Injection and Kerrang!.
PILOT THE DUNEPilot the Dune is an explosive stoner rock quartet based out of Norwich. Formed in 2020, the independent 4-piece outfit delivers a mammoth, heavy-groove sound that blends elements of classic and modern stoner rock with a distinct sprinkling of heavy psych and desert doom.Channelling inspiration from 90s-era California desert rock, their music is defined by raw power, maximum-fuzz guitar riffs, and melodic grooves.

Following the release of their debut self-titled album in 2023, they have become a prominent fixture in the UK underground heavy music scene. Over the years, they have shared stages with notable genre mainstays, including Slomosa, Nightstalker, and Dunes.
