Catkins Forever: Plant Stories Ruth Ewan From seasonal rituals to moments of remembrance and celebration, plants and trees play an important role in shaping how we understand the people, places and experiences in our lives. Over the last year, artist Ruth Ewan invited people across Norfolk to share stories about plants and trees that are meaningful to them: those rooted in childhood, in loss, in traditions, in belonging. These contributions have been brought together in a book that highlights the personal, cultural and historical significance of plants and trees.

We invite you to spend time with these stories and specially selected artworks from the collection to consider the ways plants and trees contribute to our sense of connection, memory and meaning.   Copies of the book are available to view in the Living Area or to purchase at the Sainsbury Centre shop.     Catkins Forever: Plant Stories is part of the Sainsbury Centre’s What is the Meaning of Life? exhibition season.       Stay in the loop Click here to sign up to our Newsletter
