Add to calendarGet ready to sing your heart out at Norwich Theatre with our mass musical theatre Community Singalong this summer as part of our Family Festival on Tue 4 Aug. With a conductor to guide you, this is your chance to be part of a joyful, uplifting musical experience – it’s your time to shine!
Before the big event on the 4 Aug, why not join us in one of our free workshops run by experienced Vocal Coach and Musical Director, Jodie Moore from Not Your Average Choir.
You’ll get the chance to practise the songs we’ll sing on the day including The Time Warp (Rocky Horror Picture Show), All That Jazz (Chicago), You’re The One That I Want (Grease) and One Day More (Les Misérables). There will also be some simple three-part harmonies to learn, giving you the opportunity to try something new and test your voice. This is a low-pressure, fun and supportive space where you will get to share the experience of singing together as a community.
We will release the set list of songs in advance so you can warm up and even do some practising at home with friends and family beforehand. So come along and help us fill Norwich with the sound of musical theatre!
These workshops are a chance to build confidence, connect with others and enjoy the feel-good benefits of singing together. Grown-ups can pick up ideas for bringing music into everyday family life, while the younger ones can explore rhythm, melody and expression in a relaxed, playful environment.
