Tickets are sold on the venue's own site.
Add to calendarExchange is a new Theatre Makers project aimed at connecting and inspiring creatives of any generation. A chance to meet new people, exchange cultures and even transform perceptions. A welcoming space to share wisdom and new perspectives.
Join Figurative Threads and explore the human figure through fabric and embroidery. Capture a moment in time and bring a face/a body into being through the power of freehand stitching. These sessions can offer you space, guidance and support to take the seed of an idea and explore. An invitation to motivate yourself to try out a new skill, meet new people, have some you-time, or maybe even reinvent yourself in stitch.
These one-off sessions are taking place once per month (Sep, Oct, Nov and Dec) and will help inform our Theatre Maker’s programme, possibly moving towards a new collaborative piece of work. Please feel free to book onto one, two, three or all four workshops.
Supported and led by Amanda Greenway, designer and maker, you can use any technique you enjoy capturing the human figure – simple hand stitches, cross stitch, embroidery or applique, crochet or knitting, or a combination.
All abilities are welcome, and if you are short of ideas Amanda will be on hand to offer you a choice and support your creative self.
A celebration of identity, sharing the power of artistic expression at any age, for any generation.
