Come to Norwich's finest independent venue The Holloway for a night of dark folklore and psychedelia featuring traditional and original music from medieval times to the present day.

Green Diesel conjure the spectral echoes of late-60s folk clubs and channel them into a dreamscape of acid folk and wyrd psychedelia. Formed in the ancient town of Faversham, Kent, the band weave together the ritualistic fire of Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention, then filter it through the prism of the Canterbury scene and early prog. Their hypnotic sound—violin, electric guitar, folklore-infused lyrics—has earned critical acclaim and UK Folk Top 40 success. With five albums and a captivating live presence, they’ve shared stages with Large Plants, the New Eves, Lavinia Blackwall and more.

‘By turns both cerebral and emotional, this is folk-rock at its finest’ – Shindig! Magazine

Joshua Arnold & Therine are a folk duo from the North West consisting of hurdy gurdy player Joshua Arnold and vocalist Therine. They perform thudding Playford and Breton tunes alongside droning, instrumentally eclectic arrangements of songs in the British folk canon showcasing themes of the dark and macabre, and original doomfolk about 1612’s Lancashire witch trials. Led by Therine's soaring vocals and accompanied by dense loops of hurdy gurdy, upright bass, harmonium, drums and DIY instrument drones.

“Their minimalist approach sets themselves apart from the scene. Raw and unvarnished. Off-kilter and affecting.” – The Quietus

Florence Rose Broomfield is a London-born folk singer, writing about the passing of time through changing seasons, memory and emotion. Her sound blends traditional folk with what she calls modern ‘gloom folk’ — a haunting sound shaped by guitars and an array of stringed instruments. Her songs are simple and intimate, with an emphasis on honest lyricism, melancholy and the strange beauty of things that pass.
