Phage Records & Reaper Agency present: OAKENTHRONE

Oakenthrone was formed in 2022 by founder and composer Simon Nagington.Originally as a solo project; his unique take on the black metal genre was forged inthe 2 track tape releases of “Embers of Reverie” (2024) and “Astral Binding & theOathsworn” (2025). Both cassettes sold out immediately and pushed Oakenthrone tothe top of the Bandcamp UK Black Metal page where it has retained a footholdsince.2025 saw Oakenthrone develop into a full live band. Recruiting Nathan Caven (ex-Sathamel), Andrew Hunt (ex-Pist) and Ant Hurlock (ex-Mairu); the debut liveperformance came in October at the Call of the Crow festival to huge praise.

Afestival exclusive split cassette with fellow festival performers and dungeon synthstalwarts, Gate Master, was put out. These tracks, along with the previous cassettes,were later packaged together for Darkwoods Records in a CD format – “Paths OnceTrodden (2024-2025)”.In March 2026, Oakenthrone joined Scottish black metal pioneers, Saor, on the UKleg of their Amidst the Ruins tour. Becoming a pivotal moment for the band andcemented them as a commanding live force in the UK scene.The 20 th of November 2026 will see the release of Oakenthrone’s debut album “AdSilvam” through Vendetta Records.

A culmination of all that has come before, this isa true forging of a new path.
