When the widowed Duchess secretly marries her steward, Antonio, she commits a “sin†of passion that defies the iron will of her brothers.
What begins as a private act of rebellion spirals into a nightmare of control, madness, and grisly revenge.
John Webster’s masterpiece is a visceral dive into the dark heart of the Jacobean era. The Duchess of Malfi remains a haunting exploration of female agency against a backdrop of institutional rot.

contains adult themes, violence and misogyny, and strobe lighting.
