The Yee-Haws are a Norwich-based, majority expat band specializing in a whiplash-inducing myriad of the sweet and tender, the hauntingly Americana, and the three-chord political punk anthem. Alex McClelland and Ben Koch swap harmonies, basses, and guitars; Josh Waites adds the magical spice and flourish from his guitar akin to Blur’s Graham Coxon; and Jay Goldberg is the Lord of Beats and Rhythmic Pleasures. Das Kapitans are a four‑piece UK DIY punk band built on noise, graft, and the joy of playing loud in any room that’ll have them. Made up of Steve, Simon, Lewis, and Ollie, they deliver hook‑heavy chaos, sharp humour, and a live show that feels gloriously unhinged yet razor‑tight underneath it all.
They’ve gigged with Snuff, The None, Press Club, Wonk Unit, and a growing list of underground favourites, taking their racket across the UK and Italy and earning a reputation as the band that turns up, plays hard, and makes friends everywhere they go.
As part of the wider Socks On Records community, Das Kapitans champion DIY ethics, collaboration, and the belief that punk is at its best when everyone’s invited.
Rudimentary Paste are Norwich’s finest foamcore pioneers. Post-post modern noisewonk for the discerning nonsense-consumer. Melding biting satire with an obsession with b-movies and no regard for convention. Expect songs about Pippet the dog from Jaws, Harris Hawks terrorising roundabout-painting Keiths, drinking paint and eating soap and Giant Anteater Earthquakes. This delicious soup is loud flavour.
