Add to calendarTilted Women Textile Banner Workshop Part 3 12-2pm Join Dr Jane Hattrick at this third banner making workshop where we will return to stitching about the lives of our chosen Tilted Women across the history of Norfolk. We will also continue to learn how to piece together a simple log cabin quilt block by hand and begin to think about piecing our banner together. Jane will bring a light box and graph paper to help transfer your text onto linen so please bring some words written down about your chosen woman’s life.
Fabric squares, strips, scissors and thread will be provided. You don’t have to have attended the first and second workshop to attend the third or be a proficient stitcher! Help is provided and simple stitches, such as running stitch and back stitch taught; ideas for women to include in the banner welcomed.
Fabric donations: Please also bring along any scraps and strips of red cotton fabric – plain or patterned – where the dominant colour is any shade of red, to incorporate into our log cabin blocks.
