Add to calendarTilted Women Textile Banner Workshop Part 4 Thursday 19th November 12-2pm Join Dr Jane Hattrick at this fourth banner making workshop where we will return to stitching the about the lives of our chosen Tilted Women across the history of Norfolk. We willcontinue to piece together our simple ‘Log Cabin’ quilt blocksby hand and to work towards piecing our banner together. Jane will bring her light box and graph paper to help transfer your text onto linen. If you haven’t already done this please bring some words written down about your chosen woman’s life and the places in Norfolk she was connected to.
Fabric squares, strips, thread and tools will be provided. The banner will be launched at the Tilted Women Festival at Norwich Arts Centre over the weekend of 6th and 7th of March 2027 to celebrate International Women’s Day, so we plan to move the project forward towards completion early in the new year.
