Cirque Berserk @ Theatre Royal

Well! Blow me! If you like the feeling, or even taste of your heart in your mouth, this is certainly the show for you! The Cirque Berserk team are here for a fun time, not a long time, so rethink your weekend plans for boozing and blow off Sunday dinner with your mum if you have to. You’re going to see her next weekend anyway. If you’re the type of person that likes to park your bum on a minimal portion of your seat, you can’t let this circus leave town before going berserkus with this lot. Tweedy, a blundering clown, takes you through the show, ducking, diving and barely surviving the slapstick messes he gets himself into. A variety of acts take to the stage through the performance, armed with flaming limbo poles, knives, more moves than the Karma Sutra, spinning wheels and a globe of terror taken on by motorbike riders. Your gasp average will go through the roof! The use of that usually frustratingly distracting device in your pocket is encouraged. Make sure you go with a full battery on your mobile because you’re going to see some sights, and quite frankly no ones going to believe half the stuff you tell them about the show, so getting some evidence would be a good idea.
