Franko Fraize
Franko Fraize is a rapper who reps his hometown of Thetford with pride. You might not know about Franko Fraize but chances are you will soon. Franko came into the game late in 2006 when he made his first tunes with Thetford producer T-Bone "Sit and Wonder" and "In My Manor" as a reflection of what was happening in his town. In February of 2007, Franko entered a competition on BBC Radio 1XTRA and made it to the finals, getting to perform live in the studios. From here he released a free promotional CD called "Introducing…" in order to get his name out there. Since then things have gone from strength to strength. He has shared the stage with established artists such as Jehst, Bashy, Rodney P, Skitz and Taskforce and also gained support from BBC Radio Norfolk, even being asked to guest present the show. His sound is heavily influenced by the UK Hip Hop and Grime scene, as well as that classic 90s New York Hip Hop and Dubstep. Drawing a lot of his inspiration from Thetford, the town he lives in, Franko brings a slice of real life to his rhymes. Franko can be seen smashing live sets around East Anglia spitting on all types of beats and also plays shows up and down the country. He can be seen performing with close associates Chronic Redeye as well as fellow Thetford MC, Lyrical T. Franko released a free CD in 2007 to gain notice and give people a taste of things to come. Working with producers like T-Bone, I.C, Redeye, Jabba tha Kutt and Forbidden Tongues, the full length is sure to be big. Set to be released late 2008/early2009, Franko hopes to take the fan-base from East Anglia and take it across the whole UK.
