01/10/2016 Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

Eva Green (Casino Royale) stars as the titular Miss Peregrine in Tim Burton’s latest gothy-quirk-of-art kids’ movie. Adapted from the novel for the big screen by Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass). Dark, mysterious, and non-condescendingly spooky, this looks like a great choice for the whole family this Halloween.

14/10/2016 – Inferno

Tom Hanks returns as Robert Langdon in the third Da Vinci Code movie. This time he wakes up with amnesia, and has to try to remember what’s happened in order to stop a plague. Don’t worry Hanks, I’ve also forgotten what happened previously. Just not enough to sit through another shitty Dan Brown story.

21/10/2016 – Trolls

Remember those fluffy haired Troll dolls that were massive years ago? Well, someone at Dreamworks found one down a sofa, and now this is fucking happening. And it’s starring Anna Kendrick, Justin Trousersnake, and James Corden. Next month: Weebles Vs Predator.

28/10/2016 – Doctor Strange

October wouldn’t be complete without a superhero movie, and so the Marvel machine continues as Bimblebox Clapmahands (Sherlock) stars as the dimension hopping surgical sorcerer. Mads Mikkelsen, and Chiwetel Ejiofor are also in it like rabbits in a hat, so can the Doc bring a bit of magic back to the Marvel cinematic universe, or has he got nothing up his sleeve?
