The Kabeedies

by Outline

The Kabeedies are a suspicious gathering of some boys and a girl who like to concoct new ways of baffling the human ear. Their slightly damaged minds dream up gleeful pop tunes and a live show that leaves audience members dying for their next fix of sweat and gaiety. It’s been a meteoric rise for the riotous teenagers who only formed in October 2006. From winning East Anglia’s prestigious Next Big Thing title in November 2007, the band have played Maida Vale for Huw Stephens, radio sessions for Marc Riley's 6Music show and Janice Long’s on Radio 2, been runner up in Zane Lowe’s ‘Fresh Meat’ on Radio 1, and to top it all added Glastonbury and Latitude to their gig list. The group’s debut release came in the shape of Lovers Ought To on famed DIY Cherryade Records and is now followed by the Ten Animals I Slam In A Net EP and it’s lead track Palindromes on local independent NR ONE Records. A manic minded white coat tale of reversible words, delivered in a tri-vocal barrage. The single also packs a secret punch in that it comes with an exclusive and FREE MP3 Download remix of live favourite Petits Filous. Now snapped up by Fierce Panda sister Cool For Cats Records, the band will be touring a debut single for them in October and then locking themselves away in the studio for a much anticipated debut album in early 2009.
