The Only Way is (David) Essex

Get ready for a pre-Halloween musical extravaganza with the return of Vampires Rock to Norwich Theatre Royal on October 9. The gothic story of love and passion features the powerful vocals of Steve Steinman plus top musicians and dancers in an evening featuring the tunes of classic performers like Meatloaf and Queen.

The breathtaking story of a true female icon then takes to the stage on October 11-15 when Northern Ballet Theatre presents Cleopatra. It follows the story of the extraordinary woman who overturns convention and changes the course of history in a male-dominated world.

Then music and stage sensation turned recent EastEnder David Essex is back with All The Fun Of The Fair from October 18-22. The musical features a host of his biggest hits and tells the story of a travelling fair as it tries to survive in the modern world. It features David (most recently seen as Albert Square’s Eddie Moon) and some of his biggest hits.

The month then ends with lots of Thirties glitz and razzle-dazzle as the very first stage tour of Top Hat comes to Norwich on October 25-November 5. It tells the story of American tap dancer Jerry Travers, played by Strictly winner Tom Chambers, who meets the girl of his dreams Dale Tremont (triple Olivier Award nominee and West End favourite Summer Strallen).
