"A GOOD YEAR FOR BEER Norwich breweries have been putting the area on the map recently, with announcements of awards coming from all over the industry. One such prize winner is the Fat Cat Brewery Tap.

In a county that boasts nearly 40 breweries, it is something of an achievement to have one of your beers be voted as best in its class – so, for the Fat Cat Brewery, to win 3 such awards in the same year is little short of outstanding! Fat Cat Bitter & Fat Cat Porter were winners in the categories in which their names suggest they would be found, whilst Cougar was the champion strong bitter of Norfolk (a doubly-honoured brew, since it won the same category at the Norwich Beer Festival). Colin Keatley's brewery team of Mark Winter – Head Brewer & second-generation award-winner (following in father, Dave Winter's footsteps) – and Brewery Manager Chris Riches are rightly proud of their achievements.

The advice of Consultant Brewer Ray Ashworth - whose wisdom and experience have proved invaluable – is acknowledged by all concerned, as he has guided the Fat Cat enterprise since brewing began, in 2005."   Outline Magazine Nov 2011testhttp://youtu.be/nOx1ozE33OM
