Synth East: Electronic Cabaret

Sunday – Electronic Cabaret 11am-4pm Introducing our new Electronic Cabaret performance day, filled with a diverse range of electronic artists to delight the senses and excite your soul. We have performances from Molten Modular, Sophie Sirota, Still Fades, Laurie Black, allmyfriendsaresynths and Quasimodal. The days runs from a very civilised 11am until 4pm, giving travellers time to get home afterwards.

Molten Modular 11:30am Molten Modular is the performance persona of synth YouTuber, writer and Synth East co-organiser Robin Vincent. Under Molten Music Technology he has gained a following reviewing modular, synth and music tech gear in both video and printed forms, and likes nothing better than to take the technology on stage to explore sound and possibilities. His music is largely improvised experiments in melody and synthesis, performed on a modular system put together specifically for each performance.

Sophie Sirota 12:15pm Sophie is a classically trained violist, singer, and composer. With an extensive career spanning across genres, Sophie has collaborated as a session musician, live performer, arranger, and composer with some of the most iconic names in music, including 4-Hero, D’Influence, Gabrielle, Beth Orton, Ed Harcourt, Paul Weller, Kim Deal, Robert Kirkby, Tindersticks plus recent supports for Test Dept, 3Head and System 7.  Sophie has recently been announced as one of the acts for the 2027 Shadowlands Festival at the Gulbenkian Arts centre, Canterbury, and she runs Coastal Electronauts, a monthly electronic music night and record label based in Whitstable, Kent. Sophie is known for her innovative performances creating ambient glitchy soundscapes, using looper and effects pedals to craft intricate, evolving textures.

Her debut album, ‘Pressure Drop’ came out in Oct 2025, followed by an album of remixes in 2026 featuring 4hero, Youth, 3Head and Shape Navigator. Sophie’s work has been reviewed as: ‘A flame in the dark and a moment in time, as universal as it is deeply personal…’ (Rowan Blair Colver- Sound Read Six) ‘…takes you to big spaces with dreamy skies, all the while with a slight, ominous undertow which adds a certain industrial, urban spice.’ (Tim London- Outside Left) Her recent track featured on Coastal Electronauts Vol. 1 was described by Electronic Sound Magazine as “an elegant requiem for looped strings that swells like the incoming tide,” Still Fades 1:00pm Still Fades is the ambient/electronic project of SoundGhost founder Josh Buck, exploring memory, erosion, and the beauty of impermanence through deeply emotive sound. Blending modern electronic production, modular synthesis, and neo-classical influence, the project weaves warm analog textures, distant melodies, fragile acoustic instrumentation, and slow-moving sonic landscapes into compositions that feel both cinematic and half-remembered, like fading photographs, worn tape, or places revisited only in dreams.
