Dirty Dike - Sucking On Prawns In The Moonlight

I’ve been waiting a long time to hear some new stuff from Dirty Dike so once I got asked to review the album of course I snatched that opportunity up immediately.
Dike is as explicit, obnoxious and raw as usual, with a smattering of dope MC’s across the album from the likes of Chester P, Fliptrix, Verb T, Ocean Wisdom, Remus, Dabbla and more. However, this seems to be a lot less light-hearted than his previous albums, with some dark story bars and some murky instrumentals. Although there is still a couple of hilarious tunes on this album, like You & Me ft. Jam Baxter, this album has a slightly depressing feel to it. It’s one of those albums where the more you hear it, the more you like it. It’s definitely on the Discogs wishlish. But to conclude, someone give Dike a hug…
