November sees Norwich host The Unlit Festival, a 3 day live celebration of the written word featuring prose, poetry, performance and music. The festival will bring together some of the most exciting new and established writers and performers. It is sponsored by Norwich’s dynamic independent publisher Unthank Books and supported by Norwich Arts Centre and The Book Hive. Amongst the writers and performers are Hannah Jane Walker, Molly Naylor, Ross Sutherland, The Neutrinos, Thick Richard, Yanny Mac, Nick Sweeny, Martin Figura, Lora Stimson, Ashley Stokes, Melissa Mann, Scumbag Philosopher, Helen Ivory and Rachel Pantechnicon. On November 10th, there’s the Unthology No. 2 Launch at The Unthank Arms, which is a collection of new fiction featuring readings from: Ashley Stokes, Lander Hawes, Nick Sweeney, Joshua Allen, Melissa Mann, Tessa West. 11th November sees Cabaret come to The York Tavern with eleven minutes of cabaret from each of 11 acts. It finishes on 12th November with ‘It means nothing…’ at the Norwich Arts Centre, featuring Scumbag Philosopher + The Neutrinos + Thick Richard + Rachel Pantechnicon.
