Comedy Bank @ Open
An absolute riot
Upon arrival I decided my drink for the night was going to be white wine. Spritzers. A pint of. With ice. Safe to say I was in for a good night even before the MC, Susan Murray, graced the stage with her honest, witty repertoire. ' Some people say I'm a MILF...but I don't have any kids so I guess that means I'm a slag!'The crowd were in hysterics before the first act, mainly at me as I was sitting front centre with a pint of wine - I was singled out immediately and dubbed 'mental Kelly' for the remainder of the night!
Joe Bor was first up and he engaged beautifully with the crowd, his outlook and approach was totally natural - it felt like being at the pub with your best mate!
[Interval-pint of wine no.2]
Next up was Ninia Benjamin who was all woman, all mouth and absolutely joyous to watch! I loved her 'no fucks given, ever' attitude and the fact that she called it 'The European's Unions'!
[Interval- pint of wine no.3]
The headliner, Duncan Oakley took the show in a different direction by introducing his guitar and some home truths to the crowd. The finale was quite the sight to behold as he tapped out some crazy beats all over his body until he almost dropped with exhaustion! I was dying of wine and laughter by this stage in the evening.
I think I speak for everyone who was there that night when I say The Comedy Bank was an absolute riot!
Cannot wait for it to be back in Norwich on the reg!
