Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly - Young Adult (Deluxe)
Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, aka Sam Duckworth, is back with this deluxe reissue of his sixth and latest album. Alongside its thirteen original songs, the new version comes complete with seven additional live bonus tracks which, as is very often the case, really help to bring the album and it’s very fine content to life.
Since the release of his 2006 debut The Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager, Duckworth has been making some great music, with predominantly an indie/folk acoustic-based style that always come with a real smack in the mouth for those he thrusts his frustrations and anger towards.
The good news is that the angst remains. On Just A Phase, Duckworth rants and raves for the recipient to tell the boss that he still political views and on Adults he sings of reading yesterday’s news looking to the past to support his views. DNA is a quite beautiful song, proving that he still has the power to tug at your heart strings as he sings. Something in our DNA defines our attitude.
Duckworth and his reassembled GCWCF are still sounding fresh and relevant, it’s great to have them back and a very welcome return.
