Norwich loves you too Reef!

Reef @ UEA

Last night a dear friend and I travelled through space and time. We took a journey back through our teenaged years and revisited an old love of ours; the delectable Mr. Gary Stringer himself! Let me tell you, he’s still got it!

I went to the show with no expectations other than the notion of “this could be the best thing ever”, or “this is going to be shit and embarrassing for everyone involved”. Of course, it was the former and I still have Place Your Hands going round and round in my head.

They played all the classics and brought so much energy and enthusiasm the entire time, the crowd hung off of every lyric and every bassline. Other than the brand new songs they played towards the end (which were absolutely wicked and really rock n roll! ) the rest of it was a full on singalong, hundreds strong!

It all got quite emotional during Consideration which was backed up with beautiful backing singers and appropriate glittering lights. When they finished that track Stringer just looked so happy and humbled by how lovely the atmosphere was and saluted the people of our fine city; “See, this is why we love coming to Norwich and why we will always come back here, you guys are fucking wicked and we love you!”

Norwich loves you too Reef!
