Leon O'Leary

Singer-songwriter

Leon O’Leary is an indie-folk-imo singer-songwriter from the Suffolk Coast in England, growing up surrounded by pine forests and the wildness of the Suffolk coast at his doorstep. The kind of environment that often helps to create and nurture the very best of British and Irish singers and songwriters, grounded by melodic truth and the beauty that surrounds them. He writes and plays with the depth and passion of a much older soul, his Celtic origins can clearly be heard in his music, giving an insight on his attempts to make sense of the world, and a young man’s discovery of love and loss, with the influences of Sam Fender, Damien Rice, Ben Howard, James Bay, Julien Baker and Springsteen resonating in his performances. He has performed at many venues in East Anglia including The Latitude, Norwich Waterfront Studio, The Norwich Arts Centre, The Portland Arms, Bardfest and numerous festivals. Leon has had tracks played on BBC Introducing Suffolk and is part of The Sonic Youths Program in Norwich, representing them and The Norwich Arts Centre at festivals around Norwich.
