The work of some of Norfolk’s most promising young artists will be showcased at OPEN. Pieces included in the exhibition were entries in the first ever Norfolk Sixth Forms & Colleges Art Competition. The competition was organised by heads of art of sixth forms and colleges, in close partnership with Norfolk County Council, and is part of the wider aim to encourage outstanding arts education for young people across the county. The exhibition has previously been at the Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) and at Holkham Hall. It has recently been hosted by St Nicholas’s Chapel Kings Lynn. This exhibition incorporates over 30 of the shortlisted pieces which have been on tour. The 2017 competition attracted 400 entries from all age groups which led to the decision to hold the event again in 2018. Another high standard of diverse entries is expected.
