200 + Acts spread over 18 Venues - Sir Toby's Beers presents The Magic Gang, Wu-Lu, Gengahr & Many More The Magic Gang (Downstairs) Brighton quartet The Magic Gang were formed by members of Home School, Yrrs, and Echochamp. Comprised of Angus Taylor, Jack Kaye , Kristian Smith, and Paeris Giles, the band cited American band Weezer as a major influence. They put out their debut single, "Alright," in 2015, and over the following few years released three EPs and a number of singles. In 2017 they traveled to rural Oxfordshire to work on their debut record with producer Jolyon Thomas (U2, Daughter). Their self-titled debut record was later released in 2018. All That I Want Is You: Wu-Lu (Upstairs) South London's Wu-Lu is refreshingly straddling two disparate worlds of music. After two years spent experimenting with the off-kilter brilliance of J Dilla's hip-hop with ounces of lo-fi, psychedelic guitar to great effect, the multi-hyphenate artist is now comfortable in his own lane. Save Us From Ourselves: Gengahr (Downstairs) Gengahr formed at school in North London in 2013. Their debut album, A Dream Outside saw them secure multiple playlists across BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio X, pick up a number of dazzling reviews and play numerous stunning shows alongside the likes of Wolf Alice and Alt-J and play to packed tents at both the Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds festivals.Dream pop/Indie rock/Psychedelic rock Atlas Please: Sam Eagle (Upstairs) Sam Eagle is a 19-year-old songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from the coast of Essex. In just 6 months Sam has received strong support from BBC Radio 6Music and BBC Introducing. With debut single ‘15/8’ being chosen by Tom Robinson as BBC 6Music’s ‘Tune of the Week’ as well as BBC Intro’s ‘Tip of the Week’, and being selected to play the BBC Introducing Stage at Latitude Festival. ODE TO JACK MCBRAYER: Leif Erikson(Downstairs) Leif Erikson are a London-based five-piece who craft quietly emotive, effortlessly explorative transatlantic pop: five unique life journeys brought together under the namesake of a little-known Icelandic explorer, beleieved by many to have been the first Westerner to reach the shores of America. 21 Grams: Anchorsong (Upstairs) Anchorsong has become globally recognised for his unique live shows, which many people have described as "like watching a painter drawing on a white canvas", as he creates electronic music completely live using a sampler (MPC2500) and a keyboard, right in front of the audience. After spending 2 years in Japan to focus on producing, "Mawa EP" was released on 18th August 2014 on BBE. His second LP "Ceremonial" was released on 29th Jan 2016 on Tru Thoughts. Blending traditional and modern music with a richly textured tapestry of outward-looking sounds, the record won supports from a number of tastemakers Testimony: SPINN (Downstairs) Believe It Or Not: Laura Misch (Upstairs) South London experimentalist Laura Misch is gradually defining her self-produced soundworlds through the synthesis of her anchors - saxaphone, synth and vocals. Lauras dusion of jazz textures, beats and dearching soundscapes have placed her peacefully landlocked between many bubbling scenes within the south London locale. 'Lagoon' was released in February 2018, which was received very fondly, with plays from Phil Taggart and Jamie Cullum on both BBC Radio 1 and 2. Following her first UK headline tour, Laura took her one-woman show across Europe, supporting Khruangbin. Lagoon: County Line Runner (Downstairs) Adam Day aka County Line Runner uses his dynamic lyrics and storytelling to look at universal feelings from another angle. Days music lives in the landscapes he creates and takes you into County Line Runners atmospheric world. Drenched in reverb and guided by rolling drums, ‘Saw You In A Dream’ is a stunning first taste of County Line Runner’s new music. Worn You: VC Pines (Upstairs) Alongside a seven-piece band, VC Pines delivers deep organ drones and trills to provide the dark underbelly for this alt-soul avenue, while a seventies-esque sound sugarcoats the grit with trumpet and trombone. Immersed in a well of alternative soul, poetry and punk performance Vixen: Junodream (Downstairs) Draws inspiration from 1990s alt-rock and trip hop artists. Behaviour: Dlore A guitar driven, jazz infused neo- soul 3 piece band from Norwich, that draw influence from all around the globe. With rich vocals coming from Dan Law, this is a local band originating from Norwich whose genre falls into categories such as Soul and Triphop. Them The Days: Ralph TV (Downstairs) RALPH TV, formerly RALPHSWRLD, exhibit a blend of dreamy soundscapes, tight melodic grooves and interchanging vocal lines; resulting in a concise collection of stoned pop songs. Their influence derives from classic artists like D’Angelo, Shuggie Otis and My Bloody Valentine to more contemporary acts like Homeshake and Connan Mockasin. Taxi Boy: Amber Burgoyne (Upstairs) Amber Burgoyne is a Jazz/Soulsinger-songwriter from Essex. Combining smooth acoustic guitar, sweet saxophone and a voice "that melts your heart". A sound heavily inspired by some of the great female voices; Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Etta James and Amy Winehouse. Her debut single, 'I Don't Need Your Love,' was released in May 2019. I Don't Need Your Love: Sir Toby's Beers and One Wild Wine will be providing refreshments here through the weekend 200 + Acts spread over 18 Venues Facebook: Insta: @wildpathsfestival Twitter: @wildpathsfest
