Asking Alexandria

Dedicated fans queued at UEA from as early as 11am hoping to get a front row view of their favourite band, Asking Alexandria. It was an extremely cold day but it seemed nothing could ruin the spirit of these fans, as many started singing along to their infamous songs.

The support acts made a massive impact. Secrets opened strongly making the crowd go wild, with crowd surfs and moshing extremely early on in the night. Crown The Empire took to the stage next; I’ve heard so much about this band in the past years that my expectations were extremely high and they definitely lived up to it. If it was even possible, they sent the crowd crazier, causing everyone in the venue to jump and sing the lyrics back at them. Finally, the last support act, The Ghost Inside. It seemed many people had bought tickets just to see them, as they rushed forward in the crowd to get a better view and belt the lyrics back at the singer.

After much Anticipation and the support act hyping up the Audience, Asking Alexandria took to the stage. Excitement echoed the venue as the lights dropped and the beats of the drums made the invigorating atmosphere increase massively. Lights shone violently filling the stage with energy and electricity. From the moment they started they kept energy levels increasingly high, not faltering in keeping the crowd moving and singing back to them. Asking Alexandria seemed to make the show feel so personal by constantly smiling and waving at their fans during their set. Their set was incredible and the bright lights filling the stage added to the atmosphere of a truly amazing band doing the thing they love most. Asking Alexandria are well known for putting on massive shows and after seeing them perform I definitely believe it’s true.

Overall the night was phenomenal and I couldn’t fault it in any way. If you ever get the opportunity to go to an Asking Alexandria show I would highly recommend it.
