Knuckle Puck @ Waterfront Studio

A banger.

Knuckle Puck @ Waterfront Studio

Knuckle Puck, Boston Manor and Seaway. Three incredible bands behind three flawless releases last year, all playing in a 200 capacity room. The night was destined to be unbelievable.

Boston Manor opened the show with Peach State, getting the crowd going from the get go with people throwing themselves at each other, and even a crowd surfer in the second song. They really set an atmosphere for the show and really left me wondering whether the crowd could even have any more energy for another two bands.

Seaway made their way to the stage next. A classic pop punk band, they opened with Airhead which made the band seem just as crazy as their fans. On such a small stage you wouldn't think it was possible for five men to be able to bounce about and dance so much; the crowd returned the favour by jumping on the barrier and stage dives back into the crowd. Seaway appealed to everyone by throwing in songs from their new album and a couple of classics from their old; either way they had the whole crowd chanting back their lyrics.

It was unmistakeable that Knuckle Puck was going to give a messy performance after the supports had left everyone full of excitement. With anticipation brimming,  the crowd were already bundling together making the room feel even smaller. The opening songs were right on the mark with Wall to Wall and Disdain sending the crowd completely mental; there must have been at least five crowdsurfers in the space of 20 seconds. A pit opened up at the start of every song making everyone a little more wild. Knuckle Puck never seemed to slow any of their songs down which meant there was just pure craziness through the entirety of their set. Knuckle Puck delivered a powerful performance and the atmosphere never dropped.

Overall the night was a banger, and with it being a Saturday night everyone went a little more crazy. I can imagine everyone felt a little worse for wear on Sunday but with no regrets.

9/10
